Katie Rough was discovered down a track after police were called to an address in nearby Alness Drive, Woodthorpe at around 4.30pm on Monday.She was taken to York District Hospital but died a short time later.A 15-year-old girl was arrested and has been questioned by detectives.A card left at the scene and signed by "nana and grandad" read: "Night, night my darling princess Katie.

A body found on the M1 motorway appears to have been run over several times, police said.

A stretch of the motorway has been closed in Northamptonshire following the discovery some time before 3am on Tuesday 

Sergeant Tony Hopkins told BBC Northampton the body is believed to be male.

He told the station it had been "travelled over by several vehicles" and investigations were continuing.

Police said the road was expected to remain partially closed for most of Tuesday following the discovery.

Highways England said the "serious incident" closed the northbound carriageway between junction 16 near Northampton and junction 18 near Rugby.

Northamptonshire Police said: "Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and diversions will be in place."

The body of Kiran Daudia, 46, was found by a member of the public in an alleyway off Cromer Street in Leicester on Tuesday morning.Ashwin Daudi has been charged with murder and he has been remanded in custody.The 50-year-old, of Lyme Road, Leicester, will appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court later today.Ms Daudia had worked in a Next call centre for almost 20 years, the Leicester Mercury reported.
