Juventus eye Emre Can as Pogba replacement

Juventus eye Emre Can as Pogba replacement Italian champions Juventus have identified Liverpool midfielder Emre Can as a natural replacement for Paul Pogba. Reports emerging from Italian outlet, Calciomercato, state that Massimo Allergi is in the market for two central midfielders with the club still adapting to life after Pogba. The Frenchman joined Manchester United in the summer for a world-record fee and has left a huge hole in the club’s midfield. They have already added to their squad this window, signing Tomas Rubicon from Genoa and have also been linked with a move for former Stoke midfielder, Steven N’Zonzi. The German midfielder is thought to be one of several targets that the club are looking into. Can has been in and out of Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, making his just nine starts, but has managed to scored three goals in those appearances. The German international joined Liverpool in 2014 from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and has previously been a regular fixture in the squad. He has just 18 months left on his contract with the Reds, so Liverpool need to get him tied down soon or they risk losing him.

The web of Premier League coverage will expand this weekend as Spidercam is introduced to an English top-flight match for the first time at Manchester United 's clash with Liverpool . Sportsmail can reveal that Sky Sports will introduce the birds-eye view technology for the Old Trafford showdown, with the Premier League following the lead set by the Champions League and World Cup. It will see a camera suspended above the pitch via four wires attached to each corner of the ground and manoeuvred by an operator to follow the action, fluctuating between 10 and 40 metres above the pitch.

Sky Sports crews were back in action at Old Trafford on Wednesday morning - just hours after Jose Mourinho's side claimed a 2-0 EFL Cup win over Hull - to install the special system of wires and pulleys.

Moving at speeds of up to 20 miles per hour on cables suspended above the pitch, Spidercam can serve up a bird's eye view as the teams emerge from the tunnel, follow a blistering counter-attack or take viewers to the heart of the action as their hero lines up a free-kick.

As well as fans watching at home, Sky Sports' commentary team of Martin Tyler, Gary Neville and Jamie Redknapp - alongside studio experts Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry and Graeme Souness - will also benefit from fresh perspectives as they deliver their razor-sharp analysis.
